Fair Trade Producer Details
Tara is one of Traidcraft's largest supplier of crafts, and has been supplying us for over twenty years. Based in Delhi they aim to provide disadvantaged groups with income-generation opportunities.

Tara also funds a number of non-formal schools and vocational training centres, along with several adult literacy centres, enabling many to access education who would otherwise be unable to do so.

Fair Trade Producer Details
GPI was established in 1985 as a family business producing handmade paper and paper products in Kathmandu. Paper is made from cotton and paper waste. GPI is now a co-operative and workers are involved in all aspects of decision-making through a number of committees. Wages and working conditions are very good here.

In addition the co-op makes loans available to workers so that they can invest in wider income generation activities GPI has also been very involved in social activities, including co-financing a local school, promoting girls' education, AIDS awareness, and environmental activities .
