Fair Trade Producer Details
Craft Aid was founded in 1982 with the main aim of providing employment for disabled people. About 40 per cent of current employees are disabled, deaf or have learning difficulties. Craft Aid also employs many women who are the sole breadwinner, or who are in particular difficulty, for example, women whose husbands are alcoholics.
Craft Aid has three workshops producing pressed flower cards, tailoring organic cotton clothing, and packing a range of sugars. Some of Traidcraft’s cards and sugar and much of our clothing range come from Craft Aid. Find out more about Craft Aid & fair trade in Mauritius »
